Project Engineer

• Worked on a PSD (Platform Screen Door) project in collaboration with LTA and SMRT, involving the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of platform screen door systems for MRT stations.
• Overseeing the preparation, scheduling, coordination, and supervision of assigned engineering projects.
• Ensuring compliance with project requirements, reviewing drawings for accuracy, and addressing technical inquiries.
• Engaging with clients to understand and interpret their needs (including site surveys and data gathering).
• Participating in project meetings and implementing follow-up actions.
• Developing detailed work schedules, manpower allocation, and resource planning.
• Reviewing engineering deliverables and initiating corrective measures as needed.
• Managing project changes, identifying potential crises, and creating contingency plans.
• Conducting quality control assessments and overseeing project handover.
• Providing regular project status updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitating coordination among various parties—clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, design, sales, production, warehouse, site leader and purchasing teams—to ensure a seamless project handover.
• Reviewing engineering drawings and collaborating with the design team to resolve any discrepancies.
• Carrying out additional tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements:

• Fluency in reading, listening, and writing Chinese and English is a MUST to liaise effectively with third- parties and HQ management based in China.

• Degree in civil/mechanical engineering, architecture, or building science or other related fields.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction (civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical work) would be an advantage.

• Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and requirements.

• Proficient in MS Office and skilled in preparing PowerPoint presentations.

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
