Project Engineer

Purpose

Management, co-ordination and planning of manufacturing operations projects. Ensuring that these projects are completed and handed over on time to the appropriate EHS and Quality standards and within budgetary constraints. To identify and complete engineering solutions for manufacturing problems.

• Works with Project Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, EHS, Technical and Quality to ensure the maintainability of new and modified installations.

• Management of engineering and other continuous improvement projects.
• Responsibility for delivery of key improvements through these projects.
• Management of onsite project related contractors
• Ensuring EHS standard compliance
• Management of relevant budgets
• Development of reporting system for all key projects.
• Preparing and approval of all PIPs
• On time delivery of projects. Key improvements in areas i.e. EHS, Quality, Service and Value.
• Excellent Project Handover through engagement with all key stake holders
• Compliance with Safety standards / Polices / procedures when conducting or carrying out normal duties or work practices.
• Report all near misses, accidents or dangerous occurrences to their Department Manager/Supervisor immediately or as soon as is practicable thereafter.
• Lead by example.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment.
• Project management experience.
• Minimum of five years' experience in a project management role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated budgeting skills.
• Ability to engage and work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Change-management experience, particularly in introducing projects that lead to change.

Preferred:

• Level 8 qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
