PROJECT ENGINEER

Key responsibilities

• Plan and develop project scopes, schedules and budgets in collaboration with management and stakeholders
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate project feasibility and identify potential challenges
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for project activities, milestones and outcomes
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, construction and operations to ensure seamless project execution
• Manage project costs and resources to ensure optimal efficiency and adherence to budget parameters
• Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies to maintain stakeholder communication and resolve issues
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline) or equivalent qualification
• 3–5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within renewable energy, marine engineering, or related sectors
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools and methodologies
• Proficiency with project management software and engineering design tools (AutoCAD, MATLAB or similar)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify technical solutions
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
• Experience in renewable energy projects, wave energy or marine engineering is highly desirable
• Professional engineering qualification or membership with a relevant engineering body is an advantage
