Project Engineer

The Project Engineer – F&B position is responsible for and accountable to the development, implementation and execution of the overall division service plan to ensure that the division’s sales and profit objectives are obtained. Key areas of responsibility include: Personnel Management, Information Management, Business Management, Partnership Management, and Asset Management.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:

PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT:

· Hire, train and develop new service representatives where and when necessary in accordance with the personnel plan and the overall area and division business plan.

· Develop individual plans for success, growth and career objectives recognizing that individuals are uniquely motivated.

· Coach and develop through formal training programs and regular informal sessions to upgrade associates’ knowledge and skills.

· Coach associates through regular field work “ride-withs” providing performance and development assessment through honest, constructive analysis and feedback.

· Communicate as the team leader; divisional goals, objectives, programs and policies to insure understanding and buy-in.

· Motivate, recognize and reward individual and team achievement effectively and in a timely fashion.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT:

· Develop and achieve personal equipment sales budget.

· Develop and achieve division service objectives by motivating service reps to accomplish their service plans.

· Integrate knowledge of overall programs including service, training, equipment, products and support to provide best solutions to existing and new customers.

· Develop and analyze individual service reps service plans to achieve division goals.

· Direct time and territory management, planning and call activity to create a high level of customer satisfaction through proper needs and expectation analysis, rapid response, excellence in results, value added service and effective customer communication

· Retain, penetrate and grow existing customers by creating high customer satisfaction, through service excellence, good communication, building of strong relationships, value added programs and resolving customer concerns, issues or problems quickly, effectively and completely.

· Plan service strategies to encompass all available customer markets: brewery, beverage, dairy and food processing.

· Participate in seminar and training programs, blitzes and cross-divisional sales opportunities to maximize sales growth potential.

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT:

· Know the Division goals, objectives and focus.

· Know how to integrate and use all sales, service and management tools.

· Thoroughly understand the key reporting requirements including weekly and/or monthly sales plan and service register, daily activity recaps, service reports, monthly progress report and monthly quarterly and/or annual executive business reviews (EBR’s) for key accounts.

· Insure that customer account service records are continuously updated and maintained.

PARTNERSHIP MANAGEMENT:

· Build strong relationships with all corporate accounts, key customers and other Ecolab associates.

· Foster cross-divisional relationships and selling opportunities to insure the Ecolab Circle the Customer-Circle the Globe corporate business strategy.

· Communicate effectively and build results oriented relationships with all departments including Finance & Administration, Operations, Customer Service, and Technical.

ASSET MANAGEMENT:

· Responsible for the control of F & B engineering equipment inventory management including customer equipment-on-loan records maintenance and on-site validation & audit of installations.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• With experience on PLC or programming
• 2 or more years service experience in a F&B industry
• 2 or more years of experience as Project Engineer
