Project Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and highly responsible Site Engineer who will take the lead in managing and overseeing assigned construction projects from mobilization through completion.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling site operations, coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams, and ensuring that the project is completed according to approved plans, specifications, schedule, budget, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of assigned construction projects.
• Plan, organize, supervise, and monitor all site activities to ensure timely and proper execution of works.
• Ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Lead site meetings, coordination meetings, and discussions concerning project progress, technical concerns, schedules, and site issues.
• Monitor project schedule, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance.
• Identify potential delays, construction issues, and project risks, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare and monitor work schedules, look-ahead schedules, accomplishment reports, and other project documentation.
• Review drawings, material requirements, quantities, cutting lists, and site measurements prior to implementation..
• Monitor material deliveries, usage, and availability to prevent delays and unnecessary wastage.
• Ensure compliance with approved project budget and assist in monitoring project costs and resource utilization.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure that completed works meet required quality standards.
• Oversee testing, inspection, punch listing, rectification, project turnover, and close-out activities.
• Provide regular project updates and reports to Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering/construction field.
• Preferably a Licensed Civil Engineer.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant construction experience, particularly in site supervision and project implementation.
• Must have experience handling projects with significant responsibility for site operations, project coordination, scheduling, manpower, materials, subcontractors, and project progress.
• Experience independently managing or leading a construction project is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, materials, specifications, and quality control procedures.
• Able to read, review, and interpret architectural, structural, and other construction drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office.
• Must be proactive, accountable, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Willing to be assigned to project sites as required.
