Project Engineer

Importance and aim of the job

This position leads the end-to-end execution and technical coordination of filling line projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery in compliance with SIG technical, quality, and safety standards. Acting as the key link between commercial teams, customers, global assembly, suppliers, and internal technical functions, it converts sales into fully operational production lines while safeguarding customer satisfaction, minimizing project risk, and enabling long-term revenue. Without this role, project quality, schedule control, technical alignment, and customer confidence would be significantly impacted.

Key job functions and success-relevant tasks

• Finalize concept layout as per design and further alignment with customer for approval before ordering.
• Prepare ordering approval and materialized for management.
• Develop and manage project schedules and key milestones from project kick-off to commercial start-up.
• Coordinate installation and commissioning activities through sterility test completion.
• Monitor progress and prepare weekly project reports and project checklist updates.
• Complete IQ, OQ and PQ and validation activities.
• Manage addition, modification, dismantling, or replacement of filling lines, equipment, and new format size implementation.
• Prepare scope of work and requirement to procurement to got the quotation from supplier as per Project scope of work.
• Ensure compliance with SIG technical standards, safety requirements, and customer working permit regulations.
• Provide on-site technical support and structured problem-solving throughout project execution.
• Cost control of overall project are equipment cost, manpower cost and any impact to project should be escalate into line manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in technical project execution, field engineering, or industrial installation environment.
• Project management knowledge or certification is an advantage.
• Experience in filling line / industrial machinery / factory utility setup is preferred.
• Ability to work on multi-project assignments in a customer-facing environment.
• A Professional Engineer license at any level is preferred.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to communicate in the Bahasa language is a plus.
