Project Engineer

About the Role

Bugree Steel & Aluminium Contracting LLC is looking for a responsible and technically competent Project Engineer to manage and coordinate aluminium, glass, façade, ACP, steel and architectural metalwork projects from engineering and procurement through fabrication, installation and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs and scope of works.
• Conduct site measurements and verify site conditions before fabrication.
• Prepare and coordinate shop drawings, coordination drawings, as-built drawings and technical submissions.
• Prepare material submittals, method statements, inspection requests and technical queries.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers, production teams and installation teams.
• Obtain approvals for drawings, materials, samples and mock-ups.
• Plan and monitor procurement, material deliveries, fabrication and site installation activities.
• Issue fabrication clearances based on approved drawings and specifications.
• Supervise aluminium, glass, façade, curtain wall, ACP, steel and architectural metalwork installations.
• Monitor project progress, manpower, material availability and work quality.
• Coordinate civil, MEP, finishing, scaffolding and other site activities.
• Ensure proper dimensional checks, alignment, fixing, sealing, glass handling and protection works.
• Coordinate QA/QC inspections and ensure compliance with approved drawings and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures, PPE requirements and safe working practices.
• Prepare daily reports covering progress, manpower, approvals, materials, delays, risks, site photographs and next-day activities.
• Track project delays, variations, technical issues and pending approvals.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates to management.
• Coordinate snag rectification, testing, final inspections and project handover.
• Maintain complete project documentation and records.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in steel and aluminium contracting projects.
• Experience in aluminium doors and windows, glass, façades, curtain walls, ACP cladding or structural steel works.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, shop drawings, BOQs and site execution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and technical drawings.
• Good knowledge of fabrication, procurement, installation and project coordination.
• UAE or GCC project experience is preferred.
• UAE driving licence is preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
