Project Engineer / Estimator (Junior – Mid Level)

Overview

We are a growing NYC-based construction company seeking a Project Engineer / Estimator to support our Project Management and Preconstruction teams. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on field experience who are looking to take the next step in their construction career.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with:
• RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Coordination with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants
• Tracking schedules, change orders, and cost logs
• Assist with estimating and preconstruction, including:
• Quantity takeoffs and scope reviews
• Bid leveling and proposal preparation
• Participate in site visits and field coordination
• Maintain organized project files and reporting
• Assist with closeout documentation

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of construction experience (field or office)
• Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management background preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
