Project Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Support the Sales Department in preliminary conceptualising, survey, methodology, drawing, calculation, recommendation and other engineering and technical aspects of presentations to secure contracts with clients.
• Plan, prioritise and coordinate project operations to achieve project requirements.
• Suggest suitable methodologies and prepare proposals/method statements for lifting, unloading, stacking, receiving and transportation of heavy equipment.
• Support the Operations Department in engineering and technical planning and execution to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Attend pre-contract site meetings with clients and suggest suitable technical solutions to meet client requirements.
• Assist in monitoring project operations and execution to ensure compliance with operation planning and safety requirements.
• Maintain technical reference materials, procedures and proposals for reference and training purposes.
• Supervise, monitor and guide draftsmen in preparing technical drawings and presentation materials.
• Provide input to improve and develop standard procedures and working guidelines.
• Review project specifications and provide engineering feedback.
• Liaise with clients and subcontractors.
• Perform any other duties and assignments as instructed by the Superior.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Experience in heavy lifting, heavy transportation, project logistics or related engineering activities will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of lifting and transportation methodology, technical drawings and project planning is preferred.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering/design software.
