Project Engineer – Germany

A well-established engineering and technology company in Germany is currently looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join its growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and coordinating engineering projects from planning through execution and handover. The role involves working closely with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal technical teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and according to required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Coordinate technical activities between clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, technical documentation, and project requirements.
• Coordinate site activities, resources, materials, and project schedules.
• Monitor project progress and identify technical, resource, or scheduling issues.
• Coordinate subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, material requirements, reports, and project records.
• Support procurement, material planning, cost control, and resource allocation.
• Participate in project meetings, site inspections, and technical coordination meetings.
• Support design changes, technical clarifications, and resolution of project-related issues.
• Ensure project activities comply with applicable technical, quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities.
• Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Professional experience in project engineering, construction, MEP, ELV, automation, building services, or a related field.
• Strong project coordination and organisational skills.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Good understanding of project planning, scheduling, procurement, and cost control.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as as part of an international team.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Willingness to work on project sites and travel when required.
• Good English communication skills.
• German language skills are an advantage; depending on the position, German language proficiency may be required.
• Knowledge of German/European engineering standards and regulations is an advantage.
