Project Engineer

Job Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects involving cooling systems, industrial refrigeration, and clean room facilities. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The engineer works closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee cooling system, refrigeration, and clean room installation projects from design to commissioning.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare project schedules, cost estimates, material take-offs, and procurement plans.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with engineering standards.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and system handover.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support during project implementation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Prepare project documentation, progress reports, technical reports, and as-built drawings.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to management and clients.
• Identify project risks and recommend effective solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance planning and warranty support after project completion when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in HVAC, industrial refrigeration, cooling systems, or clean room projects.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, semiconductor, food processing, healthcare, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, HVAC systems, chilled water systems, clean room design, and air filtration systems.
• Familiarity with applicable engineering codes and standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
• Knowledge of HVAC load calculations and system sizing is an advantage.
