project engineer

We are a fast-growing construction company specializing in petrol station, infrastructure, and civil engineering works across Peninsular Malaysia. Due to project expansion, we are looking for committed and hands-on Project Engineers to join our team.

Role Summary

The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing site execution, coordinating and ensuring project delivery in terms of time, cost, quality, and safety. This role offers exposure to the full project cycle including design, tendering, and construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily site operations and construction activities
• Plan work schedule and monitor site progress against timeline
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Review drawings, specifications, and resolve technical/site issues
• Prepare method statements, shop drawings, and technical submissions
• Ensure works comply with contract requirements and standards
• Monitor material usage, site productivity, and cost control
• Assist in procurement planning and material coordination
• Attend site meetings and prepare progress reports
• Ensure site safety practices and regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2–5 years working experience in construction site
• Experience in petrol station / roadworks / drainage / earthworks is an added advantage
• Able to read and understand construction drawings
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Independent, responsible, and proactive
• Willing to travel
