Project Engineer

About the role

A Project Engineer role focused on identifying and resolving site issues, reviewing construction drawings, and ensuring quality standards are met on construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and resolve site issues, including damaged materials, incorrect dimensions, installation errors, and workmanship defects
• Review construction drawings and propose improvements to avoid design mistakes
• Inspect completed works to ensure the required quality standards are achieved and coordinate rectification works where necessary
• Monitor site activities and ensure work is carried out according to project specifications and requirements
• Report site progress, issues, and corrective actions to the Site Manager and Management

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Proficient in English & Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Willing to work 6 days/week (Mon–Sat, 8:30am–5:00pm)
• Knowledge of stainless steel/metal works is an advantage
