Project Engineer

PROJECT ENGINEER
(Seksyen U5, Shah Alam)

Key responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling project activities, resources and milestones whilst managing timelines and ensuring adherence to project deadlines
• Coordinating with design teams, engineers and contractors to ensure technical specifications are met and implemented correctly
• Monitoring project progress and preparing regular status reports for management and clients, highlighting any risks or deviations from the project plan
• Managing project budgets, tracking expenditure and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
• Liaising with clients to understand project requirements, address concerns and ensure stakeholder satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
• Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks to verify that work meets established standards and specifications
• Identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks, developing contingency plans where necessary
• Documenting project information, maintaining comprehensive records and ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with procurement and supply chain teams to source materials and services efficiently
• Supporting the proposal and tender process by providing technical input and feasibility assessments

What we're looking for

• A relevant qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, ideally within the engineering, construction or manufacturing sectors
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and best practices
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations within the engineering or construction industry
• Experience with noise control, acoustics or related technical disciplines is highly desirable
• Willingness to undertake site visits and occasional travel as required by project needs
