Project Engineer

• Manage and coordinate ACMV works for new-build construction projects from project execution through testing, commissioning, TOP, handover and defects rectification.
• Coordinate ACMV installation works, including chilled water, air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation and associated systems.
• Plan and coordinate site activities with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review ACMV drawings, specifications, technical submissions, method statements, material submissions and other project documentation.
• Monitor site progress, manpower, materials and subcontractor works to ensure works are completed according to project schedule and requirements.
• Coordinate ACMV works with architectural, structural and other M&E services to resolve site and technical coordination issues.
• Attend site meetings, technical discussions and inspections and follow up on outstanding project matters.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning, inspections and system performance verification prior to TOP and handover.
• Manage post-TOP and Defects Liability Period (DLP) matters, including investigation, troubleshooting and rectification of ACMV defects and outstanding works.
• Coordinate project close-out and handover requirements, including as-built drawings, testing and commissioning records, O&M manuals and other required documentation.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support the Project Manager in project planning, progress monitoring, cost control and overall project delivery.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant ACMV project experience in the construction industry, preferably in new-build projects.
• Strong construction background with hands-on experience in ACMV installation, site coordination and project execution.
• Experience managing ACMV works across different stages of a new-build project lifecycle, from construction through testing & commissioning, TOP, handover and DLP.
• Good technical knowledge of ACMV systems, including chilled water, air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems.
• Familiar with construction site practices, testing and commissioning, project handover and defects rectification.
• Able to read and interpret ACMV drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and other construction trades.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
