Project Engineer

Job Description Summary The Project Engineer - HVDC will support the execution of Control & Protection (C&P) activities for HVDC projects from engineering through commissioning. Key Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and execution of HVDC Control & Protection systems for ongoing projects.
• Assist in coordination, review, and management of:
  • C&P design documents
  • Functional design specifications
  • Interface documents
  • Protection philosophies
  • Technical reports and engineering deliverables
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including:
  • System engineering
  • Hardware engineering
  • Software/automation engineering
  • Commissioning teams
  • Site teams
  • Customers and subcontractors
• Participate in design reviews, customer meetings, and technical discussions.
• Track engineering progress and support timely closure of technical issues.
• Contribute to FAT, SAT, and commissioning preparation activities.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, technical standards, quality procedures, and EHS guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Control Engineering, or related discipline from tier one college with 3+ years of experience
• Preferred experience in HVDC, FACTS, substation automation, protection & control, or power systems engineering.
• Understanding of:
  • Power system protection principles
  • Control systems
  • SCADA/automation systems
  • Electrical system studies and interfaces
• Familiarity with engineering documentation and project execution processes.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and international project environment.
