PROJECT ENGINEER

About the role

Reporting to the Project Manager, this full-time Project Engineer role offers an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team at OCEAN PLUMBING ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. in Penang. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of complex engineering projects, utilizing your expertise in project management and technical problem-solving. Our projects will continue in Penang, Johor Bahru, Kulim (Kedah), and Ipoh.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
• Interact with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
• Perform overall quality control of work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel performance) and report regularly on project status.
• Assign responsibilities and mentor project team members.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project managers and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree / diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• Valid engineering license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in project planning and execution.
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Based on Penang, Driving license (class D) with own transport.
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
• Strong project management and supervision skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to be assigned to projects in Penang, Johor Bahru, Kulim (Kedah), or Ipoh, depending on company needs.
