Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer to coordinate site activities, supervise our installation crew and ensure floor levels meet project requirements before and during concrete casting. Candidates must be able to use a dumpy level independently and understand basic construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site activities with the main contractor, installation crew and casting team.
• Supervise the crew, assign tasks and ensure work is completed safely and according to project requirements.
• Read approved drawings and check the installed flat floor system against benchmarks, dimensions and required levels before casting.
• Identify level discrepancies, coordinate corrections and verify the results.
• Monitor levels during casting and work with the casting team to correct deviations promptly.
• Record level readings, site progress and issues, and report them to management.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying or a related field is preferred.
• Must be able to set up and use a dumpy level / automatic level independently, take accurate readings and calculate levels against project benchmarks.
• Must understand basic construction drawings, including floor plans, dimensions, sections and specified levels.
• Experience in construction site coordination or supervision, preferably in concrete flooring or surveying.
• Good communication and coordination skills with main contractors and site teams.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling or Building Information Modelling (BIM) is an advantage.
• Experience with 3D laser scanning or SLAM techniques is an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia is preferred. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
