Project Engineer

Job Purpose
Manage and coordinate site construction activities to ensure works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities and coordinate civil, architectural, and MEP works.
• Review drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies, and prepare Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Ensure construction follows approved shop drawings, material approvals, and method statements.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to maintain progress and resolve site issues.
• Prepare short-term work plans and monitor manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
• Follow up on material procurement and deliveries to prevent delays.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections, testing, and corrective actions.
• Monitor progress against the approved programme and report delays with proposed recovery measures.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain accurate site records.
• Attend coordination meetings with the consultant, client, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with the HSE team to ensure safe execution of site works.
• Verify executed quantities and support payment applications and variation documentation.
• Coordinate snag rectification, as-built drawings, and project handover documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in site construction and project coordination.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and project reporting.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
