Project Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Civil Project Engineer with proven experience in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) construction projects and valid approval as an engineer from the relevant RAK authority. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site activities, ensuring project execution as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, and equipment to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, health and safety requirements, and local authority regulations.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and inspection requests.
• Arrange site inspections and coordinate approvals with consultants and relevant authorities.
• Prepare daily progress reports and maintain project documentation.
• Identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions to avoid delays.
• Ensure proper planning and execution of concrete casting and other major construction activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE construction experience, preferably in building construction.
• Previous experience working on construction projects in Ras Al Khaimah is mandatory.
• Must hold valid engineer approval/registration from the relevant RAK authority, as applicable to the project.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction standards, authority regulations, and approval procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Strong site management, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience coordinating with RAK authorities and project consultants.
• Knowledge of project planning, material procurement, quality control, and site inspections.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of project planning software is an advantage.
