PROJECT ENGINEER

About the role

Project & Process Engineer responsible for liaising with different departments to achieve on-time delivery for NPI and ECN, guiding the Production team on technical issues, and developing and optimizing manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with different Department to achieve 100% on-time delivery for NPI and ECN
• Guide Production team on NPI, ECN and resolve any technical issues
• Create EFQ BOM, Gantt Chart, Work Instruction, Packaging standard & FMEA
• Attend discussion with customer and internal on DFM (Design of Manufacturability)
• Risk Management on prototyping feasible
• Implement continuous improvements and cost reduction programs
• Develop, implement and optimize the process
• Monitor and continuously improve daily quality/efficiency performance for assigned areas
• Brainstorm ideas/technology to improvement the efficiency and continually of manufacturing processes
• Reduce manual assembly scrap by monitoring quality data and taking corrective action to improve or correct the operations

About you

• Must possess at least Engineering Diploma (Mechanical or Mechatronics) or equivalent
• At least 5 years in Metal Fabrication or similar experience
• Experience and knowledgeable with Optic Laser Cutting, Press Brake and Secondary processes
• Good analytical and project management skills
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)
• Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Microsoft Office & EPICOR system
• Ability to work independently with high level of motivation and communication at all levels
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking counterparts
• Problem solving, negotiation and communication skills and able to work under pressure
• Possess valid driving license with own transport and willing to travel overseas, if required
