Project Engineer

will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring project activities related to marble and natural stone works, architectural finishes, and luxury interior and exterior fit-out projects. The role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered according to approved drawings, quality standards, project schedules, and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily project activities to ensure timely completion.
• Supervise marble installation, stone cladding, flooring, wall finishes, countertops, staircases, and other architectural finishing works.
• Coordinate interior and exterior fit-out activities in accordance with project specifications.
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with approved schedules and milestones.

Technical Coordination and Drawings

• Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, material specifications, and project documents.
• Coordinate with the technical and design teams to resolve site-related technical issues.
• Ensure proper measurements, setting-out, site dimensions, and installation details before execution.
• Coordinate material approvals, mock-ups, samples, and method statements with relevant stakeholders.

Site Supervision and Quality Control

• Supervise site engineers, supervisors, foremen, installers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify defects, discrepancies, and areas requiring corrective action.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, cutting, finishing, and installation of marble and stone materials.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress, technical matters, and outstanding activities.
• Follow up on material deliveries, manpower allocation, equipment requirements, and site readiness.
• Resolve site coordination issues and escalate critical matters to management when necessary.

Cost and Resource Management

• Monitor manpower productivity, material consumption, wastage, and site resources.
• Coordinate with procurement and quantity surveying teams to ensure materials and resources are available as required.
• Assist in monitoring project costs and identifying potential delays, variations, and additional work requirements.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.

Health, Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with site safety regulations, company policies, and applicable project requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at project locations.
• Ensure workers use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow approved work procedures.

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, site inspection reports, and work completion updates.
• Maintain records of site activities, material deliveries, inspections, and technical correspondence.
• Assist in preparing project handover documents, snag lists, and final completion reports.
• Monitor and coordinate the closure of snagging items and outstanding works.

Experience, Education & Skills:

• Must be UAE Driving License Holder
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in marble, stone, luxury fit-out, interior finishing, or building contracting projects is preferred.
• Experience managing site execution, subcontractors, manpower, and project schedules is an advantage.
• Candidates with relevant experience in high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, or luxury development projects will be preferred
• Relevant experience in project execution within marble, natural stone, architectural finishes, interior fit-out, or building contracting industries.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, site execution, and finishing works.
