What they need
Step into a key leadership role with a growing industrial engineering organisation, where you’ll manage complex projects that shape large-scale facilities and infrastructure. This is an opportunity to own end-to-end project delivery, working closely with engineering teams to bring technically demanding industrial duct and facility projects from concept to completion.
About the Role:
As Project Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of industrial facility and duct system projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will act as the central point of contact between stakeholders and multidisciplinary engineering teams, driving project performance and proactively managing risks and changes to keep work on track.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones for industrial facility and duct system projects.
* Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, including mechanical and civil/structural engineers, designers, and contractors.
* Monitor project budgets, track costs, and implement cost-control measures to ensure financial performance.
* Define project scope, manage scope changes, and maintain clear documentation of requirements and deliverables.
* Oversee change management processes, assessing impacts and updating plans, schedules, and resources accordingly.
* Use project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) to track progress, manage tasks, and report on project status.
* Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AutoCAD and Inventor models and drawings into project plans and execution.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience managing engineering or construction projects in industrial facilities or similar environments.
* Strong capability in project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination for multi-phase projects.
* Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, cost tracking, and cost control for medium to large projects.
* Solid experience in scope definition, scope control, and structured change management.
* Advanced time management and prioritization skills, with a track record of meeting tight deadlines.
* Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project and Jira for planning and reporting.
* Ability to work effectively with mechanical and civil/structural engineering teams and technical stakeholders.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex project information clearly.
Desirable Skills:
* Direct experience delivering projects involving industrial duct systems and related mechanical infrastructure.
* Background in industrial facility design, construction, or commissioning.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD and Inventor workflows within engineering and construction projects.
* Experience working with contractors, vendors, and fabricators in industrial settings.
* Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices for industrial facilities and structural systems.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Professional engineering licensure (PE) in a relevant field preferred.
* Formal training or certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
* Additional coursework or certification in industrial facilities design, construction management, or related areas is an advantage.
If you’re a technically minded Project Manager ready to take ownership of complex industrial projects, we invite you to apply and bring your expertise to this impactful role.
