The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Project Engineer to support our project management team with the coordination, documentation, and execution of electrical construction projects.

This position plays an important role in keeping projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, submit, and track RFIs, submittals, and change order documentation.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Identify long-lead materials and assist with procurement planning.
• Request vendor quotes, prepare purchase orders, and track material deliveries to job sites.
• Coordinate permits, inspections, and required project approvals.
• Assist with subcontract agreements and subcontractor coordination.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, meeting minutes, and records in Procore.
• Assist project managers with project schedules, budgets, and progress tracking.
• Coordinate with field personnel to address project needs and resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare and maintain as-built drawings, project closeout packages, and turnover documentation.
• Support the project management team with day-to-day project coordination and administrative needs.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or similar role, preferably with an electrical contractor.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of Procore; experience with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar software is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, field teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the company.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on commercial, industrial, or public works electrical construction projects.
• Familiarity with electrical materials, equipment, and construction methods.
• Experience with estimating, scheduling, or project cost tracking.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience will also be considered.

• Pay Range: $65,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
