Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join Dong Jian (Singapore) Pte Ltd in a full-time capacity. Based in the Springleaf North Region, this role is pivotal to the successful delivery and execution of our engineering projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing project implementation, ensuring quality standards are met, and coordinating between technical teams and stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on our project outcomes whilst developing your expertise in project engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Planning, coordinating and overseeing the execution of engineering projects from conception through to completion
• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Monitoring project timelines, budgets and resource allocation to ensure delivery meets established milestones
• Liaising with design teams, contractors, suppliers and clients to facilitate effective project communication and collaboration
• Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks to verify compliance with design specifications and industry standards
• Identifying and implementing solutions to technical challenges and project risks as they arise
• Maintaining accurate project records and producing regular progress reports for stakeholders
• Supporting the estimation of project costs, timelines and resource requirements
• Ensuring adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations throughout project delivery

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar project coordination role within the engineering sector
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and best practices
• Proficiency in project management software and CAD tools
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Technical competence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• A methodical approach to problem-solving and attention to detail
• Familiarity with health, safety and environmental compliance requirements in engineering projects
• Relevant professional certifications (such as PMP or APEC Engineer status) are advantageous
