What they need
The Opportunity
Are you a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys the challenge of delivering projects, not just designing them?
We're recruiting for an established international engineering business delivering specialist equipment and engineered solutions into the dairy, food and beverage industries.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll combine your mechanical engineering knowledge with project delivery skills, taking projects from initial customer requirements through design, equipment selection, installation and commissioning.
You'll work closely with customers, suppliers and technical teams, solving engineering challenges and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be involved across the full project lifecycle, including:
- Developing mechanical engineering solutions, equipment layouts and technical specifications.
- Selecting and specifying pumps, valves, piping systems and associated equipment.
- Managing project schedules, budgets, suppliers and contractors.
- Coordinating engineering design, procurement, fabrication and installation activities.
- Overseeing equipment testing, commissioning and technical handover.
You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects while remaining closely involved in the practical engineering detail.
What We're Looking For
You'll be a mechanically minded engineer who enjoys solving problems, working with people and getting projects across the line.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Process Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in dairy, food and beverage processing or hygienic equipment
- Sound knowledge of mechanical equipment, fluid dynamics, piping systems, pumps and valves.
- Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage suppliers, timelines and budgets.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and confidence working with customers and technical teams.
Why Consider This Role?
This isn't a role where you'll spend all day behind a desk.
You'll be involved in the technical decisions, work with a diverse range of equipment and customers, and see projects progress from initial concept through to successful installation.
You'll join an established engineering business with international capability, a strong technical product portfolio and the opportunity to further develop your project engineering expertise.
If you're a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys taking responsibility, solving practical challenges and delivering results, we'd like to hear from you. Where to from here?
