Project Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Project Engineer to support our audio-visual (AV), system integration and immersive experience projects. This role combines project coordination with practical site work, including equipment installation, cabling, system configuration, testing and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate AV and system integration projects from planning and installation through testing, commissioning and handover.
• Conduct site surveys, check site conditions and assist in preparing technical drawings and equipment requirements.
• Carry out hands-on installation and setup of speakers, displays, projectors, control systems and related AV equipment.
• Perform cable laying, routing, termination, labelling and testing.
• Assemble equipment racks, install equipment and complete inter-rack connections according to approved drawings.
• Configure and test AV equipment and basic network connections, working with the programming team on system integration.
• Troubleshoot hardware, cabling and system faults, and carry out repairs or equipment replacement where required.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to monitor progress and resolve site issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, service visits and defect rectification during the warranty period.
• Prepare site reports, equipment records, testing results and handover documentation.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technology or a related technical field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in audio-visual (AV), ELV or system integration projects, with hands-on experience in equipment installation, cabling, testing and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of audio systems, displays, projectors, control systems and networking.
• Practical skills in equipment installation, cabling, termination and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, organised and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel to project sites, including outstation assignments, and work flexible hours when required by project schedules.
