Job Overview

STAFFKING PTE LTD is seeking a motivated and organised Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of engineering projects in Singapore.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure that project activities are completed according to technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, budgets, and agreed schedules.

This role is suitable for a detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills and an interest in coordinating technical activities, managing project requirements, and delivering practical engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from initiation through completion.
• Prepare project schedules, technical documents, progress reports, and other project-related records.
• Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and clients to support project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, technical issues, and resource requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, material submissions, and project documentation.
• Support cost estimation, budget monitoring, procurement coordination, and resource planning.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor work progress and verify compliance with approved specifications.
• Identify project risks and assist in implementing corrective and preventive measures.
• Coordinate equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities where applicable.
• Ensure project activities comply with relevant Singapore regulations, technical standards, quality procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
• Attend project meetings and communicate updates, outstanding issues, and action items to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of project milestones, variations, site activities, and technical decisions.
• Assist in resolving engineering challenges and recommend improvements to project efficiency and performance.
• Support final inspections, documentation, and project closeout activities.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience in project engineering, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, or engineering services is preferred.
• Understanding of project planning, technical documentation, and project coordination processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and project reporting tools.
• Familiarity with project scheduling software, CAD applications, or other engineering tools is an advantage.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
• A proactive approach to identifying issues and following up on project deliverables.
• Willingness to attend project sites when required by the position.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience managing project schedules, progress tracking, and technical coordination.
• Familiarity with quality assurance, risk assessment, and project documentation.
• Understanding of procurement processes, material coordination, and contractor management.
• Experience supporting installation, testing, commissioning, or handover activities.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and workplace safety practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams.
