PROJECT ENGINEER (Construction / Building Materials)

You will work closely with our Sales team, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and other industry professionals to support the delivery of cleanroom architectural systems. This is an opportunity to develop your technical expertise and grow with us.

What You'll Do

• Technical Review & Estimation: Review tender documents, technical specifications, and architectural drawings to understand project requirements.
• Quantity Take-Off & Costing: Perform quantity take-offs (BQ), estimate material requirements, and prepare project cost estimates.
• Supplier Coordination: Source and evaluate supplier quotations, compare pricing, and support the preparation of competitive quotations for the Sales team.
• Drawing Coordination: Prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings with relevant internal and external parties.
• Site Visits & Inspections: Conduct site surveys, measurements, and inspections to ensure work meets project specifications and technical requirements.
• Project Support: Provide technical assistance during both the tendering and project execution stages.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues while providing product application guidance for cleanroom architectural systems.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, consultants, architects, and the internal Sales team to ensure smooth project progress and timely delivery.

What We're Looking For

• A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with relevant 1 to 2 years experience in construction, engineering, or the building materials industry will have an added advantage.
• Basic to good proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
• Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese to communicate with customers, consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
• Willingness to travel and attend outstation site visits when required.
• A valid Class D driving licence and own transport are preferred.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
