Project Engineer – Construction (Electrical / ELV / BMS)

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, installation and completion of construction projects involving Electrical, ELV, BMS and related building systems.

Candidates with experience in any of the following areas are welcome to apply: Electrical Engineering, ELV Systems, BMS / Building Automation, M&E, structured cabling, security systems, fire alarm, access control or other building services.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and executing construction projects.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Oversee site installation, testing, commissioning and rectification works.
• Monitor project progress, site activities, work schedules and manpower requirements.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements and technical documents.
• Coordinate technical submissions, material approvals, shop drawings and related documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical and site issues in coordination with relevant parties.
• Monitor quality, safety and compliance with project requirements.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates to the Project Manager / management.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and assist with project handover.
• Prepare progress reports, documentation and other project-related records.
• Ensure projects are completed according to the required timeline, quality and budget.
• Perform other duties related to project execution as assigned.

• Construction site coordination and project execution

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, M&E, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• 1–5 years of relevant project/site experience in construction, M&E, electrical, ELV, BMS or building services.
• Candidates with strong hands-on site experience and relevant technical qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good understanding of construction/project coordination processes.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and clients.
• Willing to work on construction sites and travel between project sites when required.
• Candidates with relevant BMS / ELV / Electrical installation, testing or commissioning experience will have an advantage.
