Project Engineer (Contract to Perm)

Project Engineer (Civil – Concreting Works) for Pre-Sedimentation Pond Construction in Lubok China, Malacca.

This is a 6-month contract position, convertible to permanent upon good performance. Working hours are Mondays to Fridays, and alternate Saturdays according to roster.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and monitor concreting works including formwork, reinforcement, and casting.
• Ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution of works.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to maintain workmanship standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation including daily site reports, progress updates, material records, and compliance submissions.
• Generate structured reports for management review and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during construction.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Work independently with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and to start work immediately in Lubok China, Malacca.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant site experience, with proven expertise in concreting works.

• Strong knowledge of concrete technology, structural detailing, and construction methodologies.

• Demonstrated strength in documentation, reporting, and compliance record-keeping.

• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Must be able to work independently and take initiative in managing site activities.
