Project Engineer - Cost Control & Management

About the role

Marketech International Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer - Cost Control & Management to join our dynamic team in Sunway Velocity, Kuala Lumpur. As a full-time employee, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our innovative products and solutions.

What you'll be doing

1. Establishing the initial project baseline, including labour, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
2. Verifying supplier/vendor invoices and claims to record actual expenditures accurately.
3. Comparing actual expenses against the budget, predicting cost at completion, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
4. Producing regular cost and performance reports for project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
5. Tracking scope changes and assessing their impact on the overall project budget and schedule.
6. Proactively identifying and mitigating financial and schedule risks.

What we're looking for

1. Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s degree/ Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma in MEP Engineering or equivalent.
2. At least 3 years experiences in cost control, project management, or any related roles.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
4. Willing to work outstation and site visit as per project requirements, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to project location.
5. Software skills: e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or advanced MS Excel)
6. Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin will be an added advantage, as the role requires communication with our Taiwan headquarters and Taiwan clients.
