About the role

We are seeking a talented Project Engineer (Electrical) to join our team at our Tagore North-East Region office. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the delivery and execution of our electrical engineering projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing project timelines, coordinating technical activities, and ensuring that electrical installations and systems meet our high standards of quality and safety. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and delivering outstanding results to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of electrical projects from conception through to delivery
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including electricians, technicians, and other engineering professionals
• Review and validate technical drawings, designs, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits to verify work standards and identify any potential issues
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, reports, and records
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all project sites
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and implement effective solutions
• Support the continuous improvement of project processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in electrical project engineering or site management
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and industry standards (e.g., IEC, BS standards)
• Proficiency in project management tools and software
• Excellent understanding of electrical safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software is desirable
• Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer status or equivalent) are advantageous
