Project Engineer Electrical

We are looking for a Project Engineer (Electrical) to join our growing Engineering team and contribute to the successful delivery of High Voltage (HV) Substation Projects across Malaysia . This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging infrastructure projects while expanding your technical expertise and project management capabilities.

Role Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate HV substation designs, technical specifications, engineering studies, and project deliverables.
• Work closely with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, contractors, and relevant authorities to resolve technical and project-related matters.
• Monitor project progress, engineering deliverables, and site activities against project schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate engineering changes and ensure implementation of approved design modifications.
• Participate in technical bid evaluations, vendor assessments, and material/equipment reviews.
• Provide site engineering support during installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and project energization activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, applicable standards, utility regulations, and project specifications.
• Identify technical risks and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, progress updates, and as-built drawings.
• Support project handover activities, including preparation of final documentation, close-out reports, and client submissions.

Requirements

• Malaysian citizen.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) or equivalent.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction or engineering industry. Experience in HV Substation projects will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering standards, design codes, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical drawings.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment .
• Willing to relocate and work at assigned project sites across different regions as required.
