Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Project Engineer – Fire Fighting Systems to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in fire protection and ventilation systems, with a proven track record of successfully handling and delivering projects.

The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and supervising fire fighting system projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the execution of fire fighting system projects from planning through completion and handover.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical specifications.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire hose reels, hydrants, fire pumps, and related piping networks.
• Coordinate ventilation system works as required by project scope.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable NFPA standards, and relevant local authority requirements.
• Monitor project progress, manpower allocation, material procurement, and site activities to meet project schedules.
• Coordinate with design and drafting teams for shop drawings, material approvals, and technical submissions.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients and consultants to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Monitor quality control procedures and ensure that installation works comply with approved standards and specifications.
• Supervise system testing, flushing, pressure testing, commissioning, and final inspections.
• Prepare progress reports, project documentation, and handover documents.
• Identify project risks and technical challenges and implement effective solutions to ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fire protection and/or ventilation systems.
• Proven project experience and a strong track record of successfully executing fire fighting system projects.
• Good knowledge of fire fighting systems, installation practices, testing, commissioning, and maintenance requirements.
• Familiarity with NFPA standards and applicable local civil defence and authority regulations.
• Experience in project planning, site supervision, technical coordination, and subcontractor management.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project activities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Previous experience coordinating with consultants, clients, and relevant authorities for inspections and approvals.
• Knowledge of project scheduling, material procurement, cost control, and progress reporting.
• Relevant professional certifications and authority approvals, where applicable.
