Project Engineer (Gas & Water Analyzers)

We are a leading instrument trading and engineering company specializing in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced gas and water analyzers. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to lead project execution from procurement through to final on-site commissioning.

Key responsibilities

Project Planning & Financial Control

• Develop detailed project plans, including the ability to draw and modify simple schematic drawings, prepare and submit documents for approval, establish execution timelines, allocate resources, and set budget baselines for analytical instrument installations
• Monitor project progress continuously, tracking actual costs against budgets and managing financial variances
• Identify project risks proactively, implementing mitigation strategies specific to analytical instrumentation delivery and site constraints
• Prepare regular project reports and progress presentations for both internal management and external clients
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for analytical instrument projects

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate turnkey project activities across design validation, equipment procurement, construction, and final commissioning phases
• Manage day-to-day relationships with critical stakeholders, including corporate clients, instrumentation vendors, and site contractors
• Evaluate external partners by participating directly in the selection and quality review of contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure strict compliance with all applicable engineering codes, industry standards, and local environmental regulations.

On-Site Execution & Technical Support

• Perform regular site visits to audit analytical instrument installation and maintenance activities first-hand.
• Proactively solve technical issues on-site, including physical installation barriers, sample conditioning errors, and wiring discrepancies.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to junior project team members and field technicians.
• Deliver final quality standards, ensuring all gas and water analyzer systems are fully operational, on time, and within budget.

Requirements & Technical Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, Electronic, or Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on project experience specifically dealing with process analyzers, gas detection systems, or water quality monitoring panels
• Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and fabrication drawings
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively to client sites (plants, refineries, water treatment facilities) for installation work
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in harsh environments, including dry, hot, wet, or noisy conditions
• Strong vendor-management skills, analytical troubleshooting abilities, and clear technical communication
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Previous experience working in an ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 certified company
• Experience working in the Oil & Gas industry or with Oil & Gas companies will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software, with the ability to draw simple Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and schematic drawings
