Project Engineer (JB)

Our client HSP POWER SYSTEMS SDN. BHD. is seeking a Project Engineer (JB) to join their team!

This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team where your expertise in project engineering will be crucial in delivering power generator set projects from conception to completion. You will work on-site in Johor Bahru, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

What you'll be doing?

• Lead Project Lifecycle: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning and procurement to installation and commissioning.
• Ensure Quality and Compliance: Conduct site assessments, verify installation quality, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare Documentation: Develop project schedules, progress reports, and technical documentation.
• Monitor and Resolve Issues: Identify project risks, resolve site issues, and implement corrective actions to avoid delays.
• Participate in Meetings: Engage in client meetings, technical discussions, and project review sessions.

Who are they looking for?

• Engineering Background: Diploma or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or related Engineering field.
• Project Experience: Minimum 3 years of project engineering experience, preferably in the generator set, power systems, or heavy-duty equipment industry. Experience in data centre projects is an added advantage.
• Site Presence: Possess own transportation and willing to be fully based on-site in Johor and travel to project locations as required.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of project management practices and site coordination. Experienced or has knowledge in reading technical drawings, and supply, and testing and commissioning.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential to communicate with clients and stakeholders. Proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage.
