Project Engineer (M&E)

Overview

We are looking for a motivated and technically competent Project Engineer (M&E) to join our project team. The successful candidate will support the planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of M&E works for projects involving solar, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), electrical, construction, and infrastructure. The position is based in Kota Kinabalu with project assignments in Lahad Datu and Tawau, Sabah.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor M&E project activities from commencement to completion.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, technical documents, and project requirements.
• Monitor site progress, work schedules, manpower, materials, and resources.
• Ensure M&E works comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project requirements.
• Attend site meetings, inspections, technical discussions, and coordination meetings.
• Prepare and review project documentation, method statements, material submissions, inspection requests, and progress reports.
• Coordinate testing, inspection, and commissioning activities.
• Identify technical and site issues and coordinate with relevant parties for resolution.
• Monitor project quality, safety, schedule, and work progress.

Qualifications:

• Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, M&E Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 1–5 years of relevant working experience in M&E, electrical, construction, infrastructure, renewable energy, or related industries.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, M&E systems, and site coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driving licence is mandatory.
• Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel occasionally to project sites in Sabah.
