Project Engineer - Maritime Consultancy

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Project Engineer with an electrical engineering background to join a consultancy firm serving the maritime sector. This role is suitable for fresh graduates who are keen to develop their technical expertise and gain exposure to maritime projects across Singapore and overseas.

The successful candidate will support project planning, engineering coordination, technical documentation and on-site activities. The role involves overseas travel of up to 50% of the time, offering valuable international project exposure and travel allowances.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of projects for vessels and offshore assets.

Support system inspections, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning activities.

Assist senior engineers with system assessments, technical evaluations and project documentation.

Coordinate with shipowners, shipyards, vessel operators, equipment suppliers and other project stakeholders.

Prepare technical reports, inspection records, test procedures and other engineering documentation.

Support sea trials, system verification and compliance activities in accordance with relevant industry standards and client requirements.

Participate in onboard vessel visits and overseas project assignments as required.

Provide technical and administrative support to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and within schedule.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; relevant experience or strong interest in marine and offshore is an advantage.

Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to travel overseas for up to 50% of working time.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with international stakeholders.

Proactive, adaptable and eager to learn in a technical, project-based environment.
