Open Position: Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

7er Construction is looking for a driven Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will work alongside project managers, superintendents, and other team members to support construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This position is a great opportunity to build experience across project coordination, documentation, scheduling, cost management, and field operations while developing the skills needs to grow within construction project management.

What You’ll Do

• Support project managers and superintendents with the day-to-day coordination and management of construction projects.
• Assist with contract and subcontract administration.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation.
• Assist with project scheduling, updates, and progress tracking.
• Coordinate procurement and help track material and equipment deliveries.
• Support project cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
• Review subcontractor applications for payment and assist with change order documentation and pricing
• Participate in project coordination meetings and maintain meeting documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to support project schedules and successful installations.
• Help identify and resolve constructability issues in collaboration with project, design, and field teams.
• Maintain as-built drawings and other required project records.
• Support quality control, punch list activities, and project closeout.
• Support and promote jobsite safety practices and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field required
• 1-3 years of construction industry experience preferred, including relevant internships or field experience.
• General understanding of construction principles, practices, and project delivery
• Self-motivated and able to take ownership of assigned work with minimal day-to-day direction
• Ability to take a task from start to finish, identify next steps, and follow through to completion
• Strong problem-solving skills and the initiative to find answers, ask questions, and keep work moving.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, design teams, and clients.
• Familiarity with construction technology and project management software such as Procore and Bluebeam is preferred.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
