PROJECT ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team and take an active role in automotive projects from the RFQ phase through project launch and PPAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and cost calculations for new projects.
• Manage the RFQ process , including capacity, investment and cost calculations based on customer technical data.
• Review and evaluate technical drawings, 3D data, specifications, customer requirements and special characteristics .
• Coordinate project activities from the quotation phase through industrialization and SOP .
• Manage APQP and PPAP processes in accordance with customer requirements and automotive standards.
• Understand project requirements, constraints, targets and timing, and ensure that project activities are completed accordingly.
• Prepare and follow project timing plans, action lists and milestones .
• Define the required raw materials, purchased parts, sub-components, tools and equipment , and ensure their availability according to project timing.
• Follow up the mould, die, fixture and equipment manufacturing processes .
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Tooling, Logistics and other relevant departments throughout the project.
• Act as the main interface between the customer and the company for project-related topics.
• Participate in and, when required, organize customer meetings and customer visits , both domestically and internationally.
• Manage customer requests and ensure their proper communication and follow-up with the relevant internal departments.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and take preventive actions.
• Prepare and provide regular project status reports to management and customers.
• Support problem-solving activities during project development, industrialization and launch phases.

QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
• Experience in automotive OEM / Tier 1 / Tier 2 projects is an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English (minimum Upper-Intermediate level).
• Good knowledge of IATF 16949 and Automotive Core Tools , particularly APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC .
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and 3D data .
• Experience or interest in metal forming, stamping, fasteners, washers, tooling or automotive components is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel .
• ERP/MES experience is an advantage.
