Project Engineer/ Project Incharge

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution

• Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day execution of interior fit-out projects.
• Supervise and coordinate site activities as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure work is executed as per project schedule and planned milestones.
• Monitor daily progress and report delays or site constraints to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors and site workers for smooth execution.
• Ensure adequate manpower is deployed for assigned activities.

Drawings & Technical Coordination

• Read and interpret architectural, civil and MEP drawings.
• Coordinate with the design team for drawing clarifications and revisions.
• Assist in checking and coordinating shop drawings at site.
• Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Identify drawing discrepancies and raise RFIs/technical queries wherever required.
• Coordinate with various services to avoid clashes and rework.

Site Supervision

• Supervise interior works including civil, partitions, false ceiling, flooring, carpentry, painting and other finishing activities.
• Check levels, alignment, dimensions and workmanship.
• Monitor subcontractor productivity and quality.
• Ensure proper sequencing of activities.
• Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, plumbing and fire-fighting teams.

Quality & Safety

• Ensure work is executed as per required quality standards.
• Identify defects and coordinate timely rectification.
• Follow company QA/QC procedures and inspection requirements.
• Ensure workers comply with site safety requirements and use required PPE.
• Coordinate with the Safety Officer regarding unsafe practices and site observations.
• Maintain proper housekeeping at the work area.

Material & Resource Coordination

• Coordinate with Procurement and Stores for timely availability of materials.
• Check material requirements against drawings and site requirements.
• Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
• Report shortages, damages or quality issues to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate deployment of manpower, tools and equipment.

Measurement & Documentation

• Assist QS/Billing team with site measurements and quantity verification.
• Maintain daily progress records and site documentation.
• Assist in preparing DPRs, progress reports and material trackers.
• Maintain records of inspections, approvals, RFIs and site instructions.
• Support preparation of project-related documentation and reports.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Candidates with a background in interior execution / construction will be preferred.

Experience

• 14 years of experience in project execution / site engineering.
• Experience in interior fit-outs, commercial projects, construction, turnkey projects, hospitality or healthcare projects will be preferred.
