Position Summary

We are seeking a Project Engineer (SAP Implementation Engineer) to develop, improve, and support manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on ERP/MRP systems and SAP implementation. This role will drive process optimization, tooling, manufacturability, process documentation, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.

What You'll Do

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production travelers.
• Optimize processes to improve efficiency, throughput, cost, and manufacturability.
• Support ERP/MRP implementation, system improvements, and manufacturing data management, including SAP.
• Conduct time studies and value stream mapping to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to manufacturing processes.
• Support tooling and fixture design.
• Partner with Engineering on new product introduction and process development.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective and preventive improvements.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and process control.
• Document and implement process and engineering changes.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to resolve process-related issues.
• Support compliance with Aerospace, ITAR, government specifications, ISO 9001, NADCAP, and customer requirements.
• Promote a safe, efficient, and continuously improving manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in process engineering, manufacturing process optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience conducting time studies and value stream mapping.
• Knowledge of government specifications, industry standards, and qualification requirements.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience with root cause analysis and process improvement.
• Experience supporting tooling and fixture design.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience implementing multiple ERP/MRP systems, including SAP, is highly preferred.
• Consistent experience working in Aerospace and ITAR-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with thermal spray coatings or diffusion heat treat.
• Familiarity with CAD software.
• Experience in ISO 9001 and/or NADCAP environments.
• Knowledge of process capability, statistical process control (SPC), and manufacturing data analysis.
