Project Engineer – Security Systems & Access Control

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer – Security Systems & Access Control to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical execution, site supervision, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of security and access control systems, ensuring projects are delivered according to approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of security systems and access control solutions.
• Coordinate daily site activities with technicians, subcontractors, consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Ensure installations are completed in accordance with approved shop drawings, method statements, specifications, and project requirements.
• Configure, test, troubleshoot, and commission Access Control Systems, including Lenel-based solutions.
• Conduct system testing and resolve technical issues related to access control, CCTV, intercom, intrusion detection, and other ELV/security systems.
• Review technical drawings, layouts, wiring diagrams, equipment schedules, and system architecture.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Design/Presales team, MEP disciplines, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare and maintain testing & commissioning reports, inspection requests, site reports, as-built documentation, and handover documents.
• Attend site meetings and technical coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Monitor project progress and report technical issues, delays, and required corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and project standards throughout the installation and commissioning phases.
• Provide technical support and guidance to technicians and subcontractors.
• Perform system troubleshooting and ensure timely resolution of site technical issues.
• Support final inspection, client acceptance, training, and project handover.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Lenel certification is mandatory/preferred.
• Certification or proven technical expertise in Access Control Systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in security systems, ELV, access control, or related project engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience in site supervision, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with Lenel Access Control Systems is highly preferred.
• Experience with other security systems such as CCTV, Intrusion Detection, Intercom, and related ELV systems.
• Ability to read and understand security system drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience working with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and end users.
• Good knowledge of project execution procedures and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Skills

• Lenel Certified Professional / Lenel certification.
• Experience with large-scale security and access control projects.
• Knowledge of IP networking and security system integration.
• Experience with system integration, software configuration, and database-related troubleshooting.
• UAE/GCC project experience is an advantage.
