Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and managing the successful delivery of engineering projects, working closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support the end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, from design, planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and project close-out.

• Involve in the design and engineering of Process Exhaust Systems, including scrubbers, exhaust fans, ductwork, exhaust stacks, and associated equipment, or HVAC systems.

• Prepare engineering calculations, equipment sizing, technical specifications, drawings, and material take-offs.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.

• Monitor project progress, schedules, costs, and resources to ensure timely and successful project completion.

• Conduct site visits, inspections, and coordination meetings to support project execution and resolve technical issues.

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

• Identify project risks, technical issues, and potential delays, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, method statements, risk assessments, testing and commissioning reports, and as-built documentation.

• Provide technical support and guidance to site teams and junior engineers when required.

• Assist in tender preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, budgeting, and proposal submissions.

• Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental requirements throughout project execution.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering or project management experience.

• Experience in the design and execution of Process Exhaust Systems (scrubbers, exhaust fans, ductwork, exhaust stacks, and associated equipment) or HVAC systems.

• Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, chemical, industrial manufacturing, or high-tech facilities will be an advantage.

• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Knowledge of industrial ventilation systems, airflow principles, duct sizing, equipment selection, and installation practices.

• Good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Familiarity with project scheduling and project management tools is an advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for tender costing, budgeting, and basic data analysis.
