Project Engineer (Water Engineering)

Project Engineer is responsible for managing and supervising the design and execution of water-related works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing subcontractors, coordinating with consultants and stakeholders, and driving the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise subcontractors in the execution of works to ensure adherence to approved designs, specifications, safety, and quality standards.
• Review engineering designs, drawings, and calculations to validate accuracy, constructability, and compliance with codes of practice.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical and site-related issues effectively.
• Prepare and review project specifications, proposals, reports, and other documentation in line with project requirements.
• Monitor project progress, track timelines, and report on key milestones to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations across all project activities.
• Manage project-related ISO and SOP documentation, ensuring proper records are maintained systematically.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure works meet required standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.
• Assist in budget monitoring, resource allocation, and procurement coordination to support smooth project delivery.
• Accountable for submitting a high quality of work accurately including of routine letters, reports, standard documentation, presentations, etc.
• Accountable for providing all information in an organized manner within the agreed timeframe.
• Ensure project comply with the standard safety, health and environmental guidelines as established by the authority.
• Ensure the designs are following the standard code of practice.
• Fill up and maintain all the project related ISO documents as per Design SOP.
• Review the produced designed drawings.
• Any adhoc matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or other equivalent fields.
• Minimum 3 years' of experience in water related work, or related fields.
• Detail-oriented with good understanding of project management methodologies and engineering design principles.
• Ability to articulate and present ideas well and thoroughly.
• Good communication skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and relevant design software.
