Project Engineer - Water Pipelaying

About the role

The Project Engineer focuses on the implementation of water pipelaying works at the project site. The role requires extensive familiarity with mathematical principles of engineering, design, estimate, and project management including environment, health and safety management. The successful candidate will be highly accurate with work output and possess excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support in engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements (Quality, Cost, Safety, Timeliness, etc.)
• Develop project objectives by reviewing project design specifications, standards, applicable codes and plans and conferring with management
• Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing all contracts related to the project
• Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, applicable codes, and performance standards
• Provide support to complete technical studies and prepare cost estimates
• Develop and determine project program/schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time, manpower, materials and cost requirements, and sequencing project elements
• Control and monitor project program/schedule as per plan and provide recommendations in the course of variation from the original plan
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommend actions to move project elements toward completion
• Prepare material takeoff, manpower loading and equipment assignment for projects
• Generate civil works material quantification based on approved design such as cutting list and form works
