Project Engineer - Zone

The Project Engineer – Zone is responsible for the day-to-day execution, coordination, and technical delivery of project activities within an assigned zone, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and UAE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for all project activities within the assigned zone.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and other disciplines.
• Monitor daily progress against project schedules and agreed milestones.
• Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality requirements.
• Review drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve site issues and technical queries.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance within the zone.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality and HSE requirements.
• Identify delays, risks, and site constraints and escalate issues promptly.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and maintain project records.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspections, and handover activities.
• Ensure proper completion of as-built drawings and project documentation.
• Support the Project Manager in achieving overall project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Engineering or relevant technical discipline.
• 5–6 years of relevant project/site engineering experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Experience in managing site activities and multiple subcontractors.
• Good knowledge of project execution, drawings, BOQ, schedules, and QA/QC procedures.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction practices and HSE requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
