Project Engineer/Technical Engineer/Construction Manager/Arch Coordinator

About the role

CRN KL Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer/Technical Engineer/Construction Manager/Arch Coordinator to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, offering a strategic opportunity to oversee and manage complex engineering projects from conception through to completion. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. You will work closely with architects, contractors, clients, and internal teams to coordinate all aspects of project execution and technical delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all technical and construction aspects of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards
• Liaise between design teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution and communication
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets, and prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure work meets contractual requirements and safety standards
• Manage change orders, variations, and claims as they arise during construction
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and environmental standards
• Support project managers in risk identification, mitigation, and resolution
• Coordinate with architects and engineering consultants to resolve technical issues and optimise project delivery
• Maintain accurate project documentation and maintain comprehensive project records

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 3-7 years of experience in project engineering, construction management, or technical coordination roles
• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale engineering or construction projects
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and regulatory requirements in Malaysia
• Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or Building Information Modelling (BIM)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining quality standards
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices and a commitment to workplace safety
• Professional Engineering registration or certification is preferred
• Experience with architectural coordination or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) coordination is advantageous
