Project Estimator (Civil)

We are seeking to recruit practical, site-experienced engineers to join our Estimating Team and develop into high-calibre estimators. This role is ideal for individuals who understand how works are built and want to apply that knowledge in a more strategic, pre-construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop first-principles cost estimates (labour, plant, materials and productivity) for major civil engineering tenders;
• Review drawings and specifications to identify buildability issues, risks and opportunities;
• Liaise with internal and external parties to define scope and integrate quantity inputs into cost estimates;
• Engage with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain and analyse quotations, challenging assumptions where necessary;
• Support cost planning in alignment with construction methodology and tender programme;
• Raise technical and commercial tender queries where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent;
• At least 6-8 years' relevant experience, preferably with Civil project experience in a contractor environment;
• Practical, inquisitive mindset with good commercial awareness and common sense;
• Comfortable working with numbers and developing cost build-ups;
• Demonstrated estimating experience, particularly in methodology-driven or first-principles pricing;
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
